Why WagTime Exists
WagTime™ grew out of the work being done at Woof Houze, a Fredericksburg-based canine care company known for helping guardians understand their dogs through observation, environment, and relationship.
Over the years, the Woof Houze team has worked alongside dogs with a wide range of needs – from everyday family companions to sensitive dogs navigating stress, overstimulation, or big feelings. One truth became clear: Dogs don’t need to be controlled. They need environments and movement that make sense to them.
WagTime was created to bring that philosophy into everyday neighborhood care. Through structured Movement Zones™, Certified Care Companions support dogs through calm, predictable strolls and thoughtful in-home care within the neighborhoods where they live.
Rather than rushing dogs through their environment, WagTime focuses on:
- observation
- rhythm and pace
- environmental awareness
- and supporting the dog in front of us
The WagTime model extends the philosophy developed at Woof Houze into daily life, giving dogs access to professional care that understands:
- body language
- environmental pressure
- rhythm-based movement
- and the emotional world of dogs
It is about helping them move through our busy world with emotional safety, nervous system regulation, and trust.
Why WagTime
Professional care begins with structure.
WagTime was built on operational standards that prioritize:
- nervous-system–aware handling
- consistent caregivers
- environmental leadership
- professional documentation
- clear safety protocols
We do not rush dogs. We guide them.
We do not manage dogs. We manage conditions.
Our Philosophy
When environments are calm and movement is intentional, dogs regulate more easily and trust builds over time.
Predictability keeps dogs safe.
